Professor in Linguistics and Education, LaGuardia Community College

I am a professor in the Education and Language Acquisition Department at LaGuardia Community College. I received my PhD in Linguistics from the CUNY Graduate Center where I focused on Second Language Acquisition/Applied Linguistics. I teach introductory linguistics, sociolinguistics, and first year education courses. My research focuses on the education of multilingual students in the U.S., with special emphasis on inclusive pedagogies and linguistic social justice.
