PhD Candidate in Musicology

I study reading practices, phonetics, and syntax in Renaissance poetry and their importance in music settings. Prior to graduate studies, I was a full-time freelance performer on the double bass and viola da gamba, specializing in jazz, music theater, orchestral repertoire, and historically informed performance of pre-1800 western classical music.
