John Jay Online-Digital Teaching Seminar 2016-17
Welcome to the 2016-17 Teaching & Learning Center Online/Digital Teaching Seminar! In this year-long series of seminar sessions, we will be extending our knowledge and skills in online and digital teaching and learning. Participants will engage in interdisciplinary conversations and activities with John Jay faculty and staff as they develop more individualized approaches to incorporating media-rich resources and pedagogies into their own courses.
This seminar can be seen as a companion to John Jay Online’s Design, Develop, Deliver Initiative (D3) offered in Spring 2016. Half of the faculty and most of the seminar session facilitators participated in the D3 Initiative; half of our cohort has engaged in trainings and online/digital teaching through other venues. By bringing together these two disparate groups, we hope to stimulate exciting and productive conversations as well as creative projects.
